This was my first motorbike and it was a Hyosung GT250R.
I purchased it from my younger brother (Hi Ben) much to my wife's disgust.
I had it for just over 2 years and managed to rack up just over 52,000kms on it.
I was fortunate enough to go on some great rides and meet some lovely people across various forums.
All was well in the land of the biker until one day in September 2010 while riding along the freeway minding my own business I had a driver (I better be nice) merge lanes directly on top of me as he was busy eating toast at the time instead of concentrating on driving.

as a result of this accident the poor little HYO was written off by the insurance company :(
I didnt get away without injury either :(
I had a broken middle finger on my right hand and this had damaged the tendons and that meant I had to have a pin inserted in my finger to help isolate and mend the bone...thats the good news
I also smashed the bone in my thumb and did a lot of internal damage and this required a visit to the surgeon to fix, some 4 months later and im still not back to 100%
I also managed to get a slight dislocation of mt left AC joint in my shoulder.
I spent 10 weeks away from motorbikes and had a good hard think about giving up riding :(
As soon as I was given the all clear by the docs I went out and brought a new beast to ride :)
It was a 2010 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R in killer white
